Google Fined ₹1,337 Crore in India

Despite its dominant position, Google is fined $1,337 crore by the CCI for abusing it.

The company was fined for abusing its dominant position in the Android mobile device ecosystem in multiple markets.

A monetary penalty of Rs 1337.76 crore has been imposed on Google by the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

According to the report, Google's business is driven by the "ultimate intent of increasing users".

Android devices shouldn't be forced to pre-install Google services. 

Additionally, Google was asked to provide fair access to all stakeholders.
