KataOS Launched by Google Written in Rust
The KataOS operating system has been launched by Google.
This system is designed to secure embedded devices.
It is a simple and verifiably secure embedded hardware operating system.
On the Google Open Source blog, KataOS and Sparrow were announced.
Sparrow is Google's reference implementation for KataOS.
KataOS will be "a proven secure platform optimized for ML applications on embedded devices."
KataOS is almost entirely written in Rust.
The KataOS operating system is verifiably secure.
Since the kernel's hardware security protections cannot be violated, user privacy is protected.
