Bare Metal Restore एक ऐसे प्रकार का computer restoration process होता है जो की एक specific system से full software configuration को restore करता है.
वहीँ इसका इस्तमाल एक computer system को restore करने के लिए भी हो सकता है एक Backup से या सिम्पली migrate करना software configuration को एक मशीन से दुसरे को.
ये दोनों ही शब्द “restore” और “bare metal restore” को अक्सर interchangeably इस्तमाल किया जाता है, चूँकि दोनों ही refer करते हैं एक computer को back उसी specific state पर ले आने में.
वहीँ bare-metal restore थोडा unique होता है क्यूंकि इसका इस्तमाल होता है restore करने के लिए एक specific software configuration को एक dissimilar hardware configuration में.
