Encryption और Decryption क्या है?

आपने पहले भी Encryption के विषय में जरुर सुना होगा, लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं की technically ये एन्क्रिप्शन क्या है और ये कैसे काम करता है इत्यादि. Sensitive information carry करने के लिए एक system को दोनों secrecy और privacy की जरुरत होती है implement करने के लिए.

एक system पूरी तरह से unauthorized access को रोक नहीं सकता है media के transmission के दौरान. Data tampering जिसमें की जानबूजकर data को deliberately modify किया जाता है एक unauthorised channel के माध्यम से,. यह एक नयी issue नहीं है, और न ही ये unique होता है computer era के लिए।

Information में बदलाव लाने से उसे unauthorised access से protect किया जा सकता है जिसे केवल authorised receiver ही समझ सकता है. इस चीज को करने के लिए जिस method का इस्तमाल किया जाता है उसे encryption और decryption कहा जाया है. इन दोनों Encryption और Decryption क्या है में जो मुख्य अंतर है वो ये की Encryption में message को convert किया जा सकता है एक बहुत ही unintelligible form में जिसे की बिना decrypt किया समझा नहीं जा सकता है.

वहीँ Decryption का मतलब होता है वो प्रक्रिया जिससे original message को encrypted data से recover किया जाता है. इसलिए आज मैंने सोचा की क्यूँ न आप लोगों को एन्क्रिप्शन क्या होता है के विषय में पूरी जानकारी दे दी जाये जिससे आपको भी इस प्रक्रिया के विषय में जानकारी हो. तो बिना देरी किये चलिए शुरू करते हैं।

एन्क्रिप्शन क्या है (What is Encryption in Hindi)

Encryption एक ऐसा process होता है जिसमें की sender original message को एक unintelligible form में बदल देती हैं और उसके बाद उसे network के माध्यम से दुसरे जगह में भेजा जाता है.

इसमें sender को एक encryption algorithm और एक key की जरुरत होती है जिससे वो plaintext (original message) को ciphertext (encrypted message) में बदल देता है, इस प्रक्रिया को enciphering कहा जाता है।

Plaintext ऐसा data होता है जिसे की protect किया जाता है transmission के दौरान. ये ciphertext एक प्रकार का scrambled text होता है जो की produce होता है एक outcome के तरह encryption algorithm की और जिसके लिए एक specific key का इस्तमाल किया जाता है. ये ciphertext shielded नहीं होता है.

ये केवल flows करता है transmission channel के ऊपर. ये encryption algorithm एक प्रकार का cryptographic algorithm होता है जो की input के तोर पर plain text और एक encryption key लेता है और output में एक ciphertext produce करता है।

वहीँ conventional encryption methods की बात करें तो, दोनों encryption और decryption keys समान होते हैं और secret भी. इन Conventional methods को broadly दो classes में divide किया जाता है: Character level encryption और Bit level Encryption।

• Character – level Encryption – इस method में, encryption को character level में perform किया जाता है. Character Level Encryption के लिए इस्तमाल किया गया दो common strategies हैं Substitutional और Transpositional.
• Bit-level Encryption – इस method में, पहले data (जैसे की text, graphics, audio, video, इत्यदि) को divide किया जाता है blocks of bits में, उसके बाद उन्हें modify किया जाता है बहुत से techniques से जैसे की encoding/decoding, permutation, substitution, exclusive OR, rotation, इत्यदि.

एन्क्रिप्शन कैसे हटायें?

Encryption को हटाने के लिए Decryption का इस्तमाल किया जाता है. चलिए समझते हैं की आखिर ये Decryption होता क्या है. Decryption एक ऐसा process होता है जो की पुरे encryption process को ही invert कर देता है.

इस process के मदद से encrypted message को एक बार फिर से उसके real form में ले आया जाता है. इसमें receiver एक decryption algorithm और एक key का इस्तमाल करता है जिससे ciphertext को back original plaintext में तब्दील किया जा सके, इस प्रक्रिया को deciphering कहा जाता है।

एक mathematical process जिसे की decryption करने के लिए इस्तमाल किया जाता है वो original plaintext generate करता है outcome के हिसाब से किसी given ciphertext और decryption key तब उसे Decryption algorithm कहा जाता है. यह process encryption algorithm का reverse process होता है।

Keys जिनका इस्तमाल होता है encryption और decryption के लिए वो similar या dissimilar हो सकते हैं. ये निर्भर करता है है की किस प्रकार की cryptosystems का इस्तमाल हो रहा है (i.e., Symmetric key encryption और Asymmetric key encryption)।

Decryption क्या है ?

Decryption एक ऐसी प्रक्रिया है जिसमें की encoded/encrypted data को एक ऐसी फ़ोरम में बदला जाता है जो की हम इंसानों द्वारा या कम्प्यूटर द्वारा आसानी से समझा जा सके। इस प्रक्रिया को करने के लिए टेक्स्ट को मैन्यूअली या keys के मदद से un-encrypting की जाती है। 

Network Encryption System कब चालू हुआ था?

Network encryption System की शुरुवात सन 1970 से हुई थी. Network Encryption को network layer या network-level encryption भी कहा जाता है. यह एक network security process होता है जो की crypto services का इस्तमाल करता है network transfer layer में जो की data link level के ऊपर होता है वहीँ Application level के निचे. यह network transfer layers होते हैं layers 3 और 4 किसी Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model के।

ये layers responsible होते हैं connectivity और routing के लिए दो endpoints के बीच. Existing network services और application software के इस्तमाल से, network encryption पूरी तरह से invisible होते हैं end user को और वो independently operate करते हैं, चाहे आप कोई भी encryption process इस्तमाल कर लो. Data केवल transit के दौरान ही encrypted होती हैं और plaintext के हिसाब से रहती है originating और receiving hosts पर।

एन्क्रिप्शन और डिक्रिप्शन में क्या अंतर है?

वैसे देखा जाये तो Encryption और Decryption एक दुसरे के परिपूरक हैं. लेकिन इनके process में, features में और functions में ये दोनों बिलकुल ही अलग हैं. तो चलिए इन दोनों में क्या अंतर हैं उसके विषय में जानते हैं।

Basic	इसमें इंसानों द्वारा समझा जाने वाला message को एक unintelligible और obscure form में convert किया जाता है जिसे की interpret नहीं किया जा सकता है.	इसके ठीक उसका उल्टा होता है जो की है unintelligible message को एक comprehensible form में convert किया जाता है जो की आसानी से इंसानों द्वारा समझा जा सके.
ये Process कहाँ होता है	Sender’s end	Receiver’s end
Function	इसमें plaintext को ciphertext में बदला जाता है.	इसमें ciphertext को plaintext में बदला जाता है.
